Quilts for Vets of Wayne County, TN - Part 9

4 more quilts are finished! With just over a week until the quilt show we still have 7 that need binding and then we are done... we certainly are cutting it really close.

This blocks in this quilt were made by the group. I think they did a really great job.

When the quilts are finished and  I show the group the quilts they helped make they are all in awe that they could make something so beautiful. It is really very touching to see their responses.

This is the second tumbler quilt made this year and we still have enough tumblers cut for at least one more.
The group made the square blocks. I cut the blue strips in the kits 1 inch bigger than was needed so I could square all the blocks to the same size. Then we added the white with red stars corners so the blocks would be sitting on point. I really like the zig zag look the white fabric makes.

The group also made these blocks, one of the first blocks made after making the string blocks. They still didn't have the 1/4 inch seam mastered. I did bring them home, unstitched most of them and resewed them into this fun quilt.

Pretty good for mostly beginner quilters.

You have all done a fabulous job. How many quilts are there altogether? This is just a wonderful thing you have done. I've enjoyed every post.
